It is the largest waterfall in the world. The width of this waterfall is about one mile (1.7 kilometers). The water is continuously falling from about 108 meters high. About 935 cubic meters of water per second falls from this waterfall. The name ‘Muzi-oa-Tunya’ in the local language, because of the loud noise surrounding water, it means ‘wash off.’ During the waterfall from Victoria Falls, there is a cloudburst that floats at the height of 400 meters and can be seen from around 50 kilometers away. One of the memorable scenes of this beautiful natural beauty is the creation of rainbow due to the light flowing here. This rainbow is seen not only on the day but also on full moon night. British explorer David Livingstone saw this waterfall in 1855 and named it Queen Victoria. Then it is known as the Victoria Falls, but the Zimbabwe government has called it ‘Mozi-oa-Tunya’ Falls.
